We, as the StudiesServiceCenter (SSC) of the

Earth Sciences, Geography and Astronomy...

...support the directorate of studies of our faculty in organizational, administrative and study-related matters, which means that our scope of duties includes both student and faculty support. The following directorate of studies are represented at our faculty:

• Directorate of studies 28 (Earth Sciences, Meteorology-Geophysics and Astronomy)
• Directorate of studies 29 (Geography, Teaching Profession Geography and Economics)
• Directorate of studies 45 (Doctoral Studies of Earth Sciences, Geography and Astronomy)

With regard to teaching, the SSC supports the directorate of studies in the organization of studies, teaching and room planning, and in communication with internal and external teachers.

In terms of student support, we serve the following main areas:

• Introductory and orientation period (StEOP)
• Registration for courses and exams
• Recognition of courses
• Troubleshooting for the entry of grades
• Assignment of courses (record of exams on u:space and arrangement on u:find)
• Transfer to a new curriculum
• Graduation
• Organization of final examination and examinations before an examination committee
• Processing of various inquiries regarding the study operation (study law, organisation of studies, curricula etc.)
• Processing of other administrative tasks on behalf of the directorate of studies (e.g. room planning)
